Welcome To The Farrell Family Foundation

"One of the more important gifts I could instill in my children is the knowledge that a true sense of satisfaction and fulfillment is achieved through giving back to the community. Giving is a responsibility, and should be done thoughtfully and carefully.

We see our gift giving as an investment upon which we look for a return; a return that is a quantifiable improvement in society.

In other words, we don't give based on needs; we invest in expected outcomes." - Dr Peter C. Farrell

Mission Statement

To contribute to the betterment of society through the support of education, health, human welfare and the arts.

An integral role of contributions will be to promote and encourage self-reliance, responsibility and accountability.

Loreto College Normanhurst

Loreto Normanhurst, a private independent girls' school in Sydney, provides exceptional education to day and boarding students since 1897. Our rich boarding tradition spans over 125 years, creating a vibrant community where students across Australia come together to learn and grow. Through vital support from partners like the Farrell Family Foundation (FFF), our Bursary and Indigenous Scholarship Programs continue to transform young women's lives across Australia. Our First Nations Program offers Indigenous Scholarships each year to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, particularly those seeking entry as Year 7 boarding students. FFF's contributions have significantly strengthened these initiatives, alongside support from our Indigenous Scholarship Fund and partnership with the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF). These comprehensive scholarships cover tuition, boarding fees, and incidental expenses, ensuring students can fully participate in the Loreto experience.

Our integrated approach extends beyond financial support, combining comprehensive academic assistance with strong pastoral care. The FFF's ongoing commitment has enabled us to expand our program's reach and deepen its impact. Students from diverse backgrounds enrich our community with their unique perspectives while excelling in both academic and extra-curricular activities. Since establishing our Indigenous Scholarship Fund in 2021, with continued support from partners like the FFF, we've enhanced our ability to provide targeted support to First Nations students. This commitment is reflected throughout our curriculum, where indigenous perspectives are woven into daily learning experiences.

"Since our child was diagnosed with cancer our family has been in emotional and financial turmoil. I don't think we could have made it through the ordeal without the support of the Red Kite social worker program, which the Farrell Family Foundation has generously supported."

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
